The Matthews House Venue has a spacious ballroom that can accommodate up to 160 attendees if seated and up to 200 attendees cocktail-style. The space boasts elegant furnishings that create a perfect ambiance for weddings, rehearsal dinners, bridal shower teas, and anniversaries.
In addition to the ballroom, The Matthews House wedding venue has commercial kitchen facilities where fresh food can be prepared for an event’s attendees. You can bring a pre-approved caterer to manage your catering needs.
Alternatively, you can use our professional in-house Southern Harvest Catering, a team specializing in traditional and fusion Southern cuisine.
Versatile, Beautifully Landscaped Outdoor Space
For clients who prefer the outdoor charm, our neatly manicured grounds set under large trees would be ideal for their event. You can host your event at the spacious outdoor wedding venue, dance under string lights covering the patio, and play games by the fountain.
Booking the outdoor lawn does not prevent you from accessing the house. Your guests can still have exclusive access to the ballroom to dance the night away and any other unrestricted part of The Matthews House venue.

Upon booking with The Matthews House, we offer an onsite coordinator to assist while using our venue for regular hourly events. The coordinator is available to offer service before, after, and during the event. We aim to create a smooth event experience for you.
