Hearsay is located inside The Matthews House special events venue in downtown Cary at 317 W Chatham St.

We are open on weeknights: Mondays (4pm - 9pm), Tuesdays (4pm - 9pm), Wednesdays (4pm - 10pm), Thursdays (4pm - 10pm), and Fridays (4pm - 11pm). 

We may close for private events, so please check our calendar or social media for any last minute announcements.

Hearsay is nested inside The Matthews House special events venue, so weekends are booked with private events like weddings, birthday parties, and other fun stuff. 

Every once in awhile, we'll have an open Saturday, so keep an eye on our social media.

There is a large parking lot on the East side of the property where you can park and walk in through the side gate. Those walking on Chatham St may enter through the front gate.

Unfortunately, no.

We offer a selection of charcuterie plates and allow food from Di Fara to be delivered to the bar. Scan one of their bean bags on site or add the "Hearsay delivery" option on their website.

Yes, your little ones are welcome, under a couple of caveats:

1. Pets should remain outside on the Terrace or Porch on a leash. We do allow service dogs inside.
2. Children should be supervised at all times. There's a lot of delicate furniture and compelling hide-y holes to explore, so please do not let them roam / run around the property.

We reserve the right to ask patrons to leave if they are disrupting other guests, staff, or The Matthews House property.

Hearsay is happy to accommodate groups of 6 to 20 guests with a reservation. Charcuterie and dessert on our menu can be pre-ordered. Contact us (rsvp@tmhcary.com) for assistance. 

For groups over 20 guests, bar buy-out options, and for parties that require more extensive catering, please contact The Matthews House for assistance.
