What is the maximum occupancy?

160 persons seated, or 200 persons cocktail style.

Is catering included in the rental?

Catering is not included in our rental packages. We have a list of pre-approved caterers you can choose from. The wonderful Southern Harvest Catering is located right on-site.

Where is the ceremony held?

We have both indoor and outdoor options. Our beautiful garden setting, our spacious ballroom, or inside the house for more intimate ceremonies. View the Gallery to see photos of the grounds and house.

Do you have handicap accessibility?

We have handicap accessible entrances and bathrooms.

Is there space for our wedding party to get ready before the ceremony?

We have two separate suites where the wedding parties can get ready.

Are there overnight accomodations?

Yes! Our wedding suite can be rented for an overnight stay the night of your event. We also have a few additional accommodations. Please inquire about promotions and availability.

Is parking available?

Yes, we have available onsite parking.

Can vehicles be left overnight?

We want everyone to leave your party in a responsible fashion. If a guest partakes, and decides to get a ride home, we are ok with their vehicle being left overnight. We request that it be picked up by 10am the next day. 

Are there any time limitations?

All events must end by 11pm, per Town of Cary noise ordinance.

How are set up and tear down handled?

Your event director will coordinate all set up and tear down, working with your vendors to ensure everything is to your liking. All set up and tear down needs to occur within the allotted block of time, on the day of your event, unless otherwise approved by The Matthews House.
